Registration ends March 8 for the David's Hope - Arizona Mental Health Criminal Justice Coalition {AZMHCJC} March 13th, Peer, Family and Justice Roundtable. Sign in and  networking 4-5 pm with a picnic style, self serve meal, followed 5-7 pm by a moderated dialogue between a distinguished line up of participants. This dynamic and unique Roundtable interaction will invite you into the journey of a person living with a mental disorder, as they transition through Arizona's criminal justice system. We will be exploring AZ statutes related to use of evidence of a mental disorder in criminal defense. Is our Arizona State Hospital under utilized? Are Arizona's prison beds being inappropriately used as secure residential placement for people with mental disabilities? Across Arizona, law enforcement has taken the lead in bringing people in mental health crisis to treatment facilities rather than jails when possible. Now will our courts and health care system step up to do their part? This will be a dialogue you will want to be a part of, as we uncover the road traveled by large numbers of Arizonans living with a mental disability. Audience Q & A will be after completion of the formal dialogue. Tickets $40 with proceeds benefiting David's Hope - Arizona Mental Health Criminal Justice Coalition.

Dialogue participants will include -  Brett Matossian, Moderator - Community Advocate,  Kathy Bashor - Manager Office of Individual and Family Affairs AHCCCS, Reverend Kim Crecca - Convener at Episcopal Diocese of AZ  Prison Ministry Program,  Deborah Goldman - family member,  Thomas Hart - Disability Policy Engagement Director, Anthem Inc., Rae Hopf - family member and David's Hope board member,  Nathan Jones - General Counsel NARBHA Institute, Joe Melone - community advocate, Deputy Chief Benny Pina - Peoria Police Department,  Doug Stewart  CEO - Pachecol/MTZ  Homeless Outreach for Law Enforcement,  Nicole Taylor - Mental Health Director, AZ Department of Corrections.
